About The Power Guides

The Power Guides is a new idea combining the listing of blogs that exist on the Internet for a specific subject and creating a list of those blogs designed to give you something different on the Internet. Including the latest 10 postings by bloggers for that guide. We have also included a blog roll for all of those blogs included in each guide. As the site has evolved we have changed the way we categorize some sites/ blogs / forums , We have done this especially on Categories because we found forums could dominate all listings and that was not the object of the site. We have now moved any sites that can dominate listings into news sections to allow other personal blogs to show up
Power Guides
The Power Guides is designed to give you something different on the net by providing simple easy to use guides which include the latest postings by bloggers for that guide. We have also included a blog roll for all of those blogs included in the guide. A Simple Guide To The Power Of Some Of The Many Resources Available On The Internet with Easy To Use Guides
The Power Guides is built using Google's Great reader tool for keeping up to date on the latest blog feeds
The Power Guides makes finding blogs related to the subject you are interested easy and you can check out who is posting about what within minutes of the blog posting a new post.
- The Power Guides do not require that a blogger puts a link or a banner to be included.
- Blogs are chosen because they are mostly about a specific subject area ( 60% ) and above and provide relevant new insights or information
- The Latest Posts are designed to give everyone a chance to have their hard work and creation to be seen.
- The Blog Roll is not designed around oldest / most traffic or voting just how they appear in the list.
- If a blog or forum's RSS Feed controls more than 4 posts in The Latest Post Widget they are removed, this allows the newer and personal bloggers who may only post daily or less to have their posts featured for a longer period.
- The Power Guides is designed to help join like minded bloggers together by providing a tool to view and comment on posts they find interesting from other members of their like minded community.
Any keen blogger understands that if you wish for people to visit and comment on your blog you must make the effort to go out to other bloggers and comment on their latest posts. But it can be time consuming to check each blog finding who has and has not posted that day , The Power Guides can help iether through putting the widget on your own blog or visiting The Power Guide for your specific subject area.
The Power Guides can also help the ordinary visitor who has an interest in a subject by providing quick and easy access to blogs that relate to them.
I am a big fan of blogger but when using the "next blog" function on the blogger tool bar would end up at foreign language sites or sometimes cr?? po?? or just sites I was not interested in . So as well as creating the latest post widget I decided to create a blog roll widget that was easy to update for each specific guide.
Between the 12 guides we currently have on line we are displaying close to 10,000 posts per week including our News and Latest Post Sections.
If you are not included in a guide and believe you should be fill in the form after the Latest Posts and we will check your blog out and include if suitable
